Round 2

unnamed.jpgShrimp and Grits part two! This time at Superior Seafood.

It consisted of shrimp and grits of course, but the sauce was something special. It was topped with a creamy cheese sauce that was spicy but not too much. It was garnished with tomatoes and bacon. The bread is always flowing so when you’re done you can get all of the extra sauce off the plate!

Also caught them during happy hour on a Friday during lent. They were offering half price raw oysters and draft beer.

It was all very good and I would definitely recommend this place. Its a nice casual place with some good seafood!


Frey BBQ

After my last blog post of when I went to Frey I wanted to come back for BBQ.

I had the brisket and pulled pork. The pulled pork was not that impressive but the brisket however was good! I had two sides that consisted of potato salad and baked beans that were both sub par.

If its not the brisket I was not really a fan but if you go back to my last blog post the money is on the desert menu.

Closing Out Mardi Gras


Over the Mardi Gras weekend I heard about a king cake shake at Frey BBQ.

The restaurant was by the parade route so I walked over there. I ordered the shake and it was everything I thought it would be.

It was a cinnamon tasting milkshake. The garnish of the cup was awesome. It was dipped in icing with the Mardi Gras colors sprinkled around it. On top there was a fat slice of king cake topped whip cream.

Overall the milkshake was good and would recommend Frey for a good milkshake if in the Mid City area.

Crescent City Steakhouse

Crescent City Stunnamed.jpgeakhouse is one of the oldest steakhouses in the city of New Orleans.

This place is probably one of my favorite places to eat. From the steak to the sides it’s all good.

We started off the meal with onion rings and garlic bread. For the main course me and my parents split a porter house for three. The steak was good, easy to cut, and plenty of food. For my sides I had some cream of spinach and potatoes au gratin which are always good. (not pictured)

If you are ever looking for a great steak, I would recommend this place everyday of the week.
